MODULE OVERVIEW Prince2 Projects in Controlled Environments, is a project management methodology, owned by the Office of Government commerce (OGC) covering the organisation, management and control of projects large and small.
Initially developed for IT projects, its derivative, PRINCE2, adopts a generic, best practice oriented approach for the management of all types of projects.
Structured project management means managing the project in a logical, and organised way, following defined steps.
PRINCE2 is a widely used and supported project management method of controlling large and small projects, providing detailed guidance on how to control, monitor, organise and communicate within projects. Overall, projects that use PRINCE2 are more likely to succeed in delivering projects on time and within budget.

AIMS
The foundation course is the first of the PRINCE2 examinations. You are required to pass to become a PRINCE2 Practitioner. An intensive modular course designed to introduce the concepts of the method, to apply the knowledge through use of a case study and to test the knowledge in an exam situation.
This course is for anyone requiring a basic knowledge of the PRINCE2 method. This level is aimed at team members, managers, project sponsors and contractors wishing to operate within a controlled project environment supporting PRINCE2.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Participants need to show that they understand the principles of PRINCE2 by taking the Foundation examination. Participants need to be able to show that they understand the principles and terminology of PRINCE2. - Be able to describe the purpose and major content of all roles,
- Understand the eight components, eight sub-processes, and the techniques Develop suitable contract agreements to meet specific situations
- State which management products are input to , and output from the eight processes
- State the main purpose, and key areas of the major management products
- State the relationships between processes, deliverables, roles and also the management of a start up project.
The Foundation course exam is a one hour multiple choice paper consisting of 75 questions - A one hour duration
- 38 correct answers are needed to pass this exam of which is marked by our trainer
